Have you seen them? Colorful, fun scarecrows decorate the lamp posts around the courthouse square in downtown Fairfield, Texas.
Created by local businesses and organizations, these entries have garnered a few prizes, as Fairfield Chamber of Commerce announced winners this week.
They include:
–Adult Division:
First Place – Freestone County Historical Museum
Second Place – Johnnie Cooks
Third Place – FHS Drama Club
–Youth Division:
First Place – Butler’s Cottage
–Business Division:
First Place – Johnson Air
Second Place – Cedar Grove RV Park
Third Place – Something Different
“Thank you so much to everyone for participating in our 8th Annual Scarecrow Contest!” from the Fairfield Chamber Board of Directors, Brenda and Ashley.
The Scarecrows will remain in place through the month of October. Everyone is encouraged to grab a few photos of the scarecrows and the beautiful Fall decorations.
