Freestone Medical Center’s staff and hospital board, as well as various community members, officially welcomed FMC’s new CEO, Mr. John Yeary and his wife Tena with a Chili Lunch & Dinner on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
The meals included chili with all the fixings, cake, cookies, and welcome gifts for the couple.
Yeary assumed his new role as CEO on August 1, 2018 after serving as Interim CEO beginning in March 2018.
Since joining FMC, Yeary has enhanced board, physician and staff relationships while also developing close community ties through Rotary Club, church activities, and umpiring for the area’s Dixie Youth Baseball.
Formerly, he has served on the administrative staffs of seven different hospitals across Texas and Louisiana.
Most recently, from 2010 to 2016, he was manager, turned CEO/Owner, of Regional Health Services, LLC, a durable medical equipment company located in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Yeary holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University of San Antonio, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hardin-Simmons University of Abilene. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
