Fairfield ISD will be promoting options for after high school by wearing college, military, and/or trade school shirts every Wednesday. They are encouraging local business representatives and community members to join in the initiative to promote post-secondary awareness. But what are trade schools?
The answer is quite simple: a trade school, sometimes referred to as a vocational school, technical school, or vocational college, is a post-secondary institution that’s designed to give students the technical skills to prepare them for a specific occupation. By attending the courses these schools provide you could get an electrician certification, or perhaps a commercial driver’s license. These open new opportunities for an individual, as they are no trained and certified to request employment in many different companies for many different positions.
