Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of McLennan County will be conducting a Mediterranean Diet cooking class from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday – January, 12th, 2023.
The Mediterranean Diet is a way of eating and preparing foods in the United States that is based on the eating traditions from Italy, Greece, and other countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. Much of the Mediterranean Diet will concentrate on plant-based foods, such as whole grains, vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices which are the foundation of the diet. Food items such as fish, dairy, poultry, and seafood are all eaten in moderation which allows olive oil to be one of the main sources of added fat in this type of diet. Cost of this class is $39.00.
To Register, please go to McLennan Community College Continuing Education website at https://cereg.mclennan.edu or call them at (254) 299-8888.
