Quarantined employees of the City of Teague were released back to work with the all clear according to a post shared on the city’s social media Thursday, April 2, 2020 .
When people are exposed to anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, they are included in the quarantine for safety.
When someone is quarantined, it does not mean they are ill, contagious, or have the virus.
In addition, a person’s identity is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) laws.
It is a violation of their right to privacy, to give out there name or information to anyone other than himself or herself.
The COVID-19 virus does not negate these rights.
If a person test positive, the information is sent to government agencies who then share that a person was infected in a specific area.
The less contact you have with people outside your home, the more the curve is flattened.
Stay home – Stay safe.
