FAIRFIELD

Fairfield City Hall, 425 W. Commerce St, is temporarily closed to the public due to COVID-19.

Over the past two days, a city employee informed the city of a positive test for COVID-19.  Since then, several city employees have been tested.

City operations will continue.  For utility payments, please use the drop boxes at either 425 W. Commerce St., or the police station at 839 E. Commerce St.

Utility payments may be made over the phone or online.  You can call 866-549-1010 and use code 9212812 or online on the city website.

The City will update their Facebook page as to when city hall will be open to the public.

TEAGUE

After a Teague City Employee tested positive for COVID-19, the city quickly shut down City Hall and the Library on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Most of Teague’s workers could be tested the same day, with the remaining few to be tested through the remainder of the week.

As the test came back, some employees did test positive for COVID-19.

City Hall, the Library, Collection Center, and Public Works Department are closed until the test results have came back to avoid any risk of the virus spreading further into the community.

Police Officers are on duty, and were not exposed to the virus.

During the time the facilities are closed, they will be sanitizing all offices, buildings, vehicles, and anything else necessary.

Beginning Monday, July 20, 2020, the city facilities will remain closed to the public, but a plan is being made to have the utility office staffed.

This will allow there to be someone to help customers over the phone, via email, fax and the night drop box.

During this time, you may contact 254-739-2547 ext. 110 for a utility emergency.

Visit xpressbillpay.com online to pay your utility bill, or place your bill in the drop box at City Hall.

Until next week, there is no one to answer the phone in the office, email accounting@cityofteaguetx.com if you need assistance.
