We have been made aware of concerns of a rash of burglaries in our community, over the past couple days. The Teague Police Department has only had one reported car burglary from this weekend. There was a reported criminal trespass of a habitation yesterday evening. No other reports have been received by us in regards to burglaries of cars or residences.
There were car burglaries, along with a stolen motor vehicle, within the past week, but those cases have been solved and the offenders dealt with. These were unrelated to the current reported car burglary.
Please, if you believe someone has burglarized your vehicle, residence, or building, contact the Teague Police Department to report the matter.
Please secure all valuables, roll up windows, lock all doors and windows on your vehicles, residence, and buildings to help prevent theft of your hard earned property.
