Looks like we made it!

Coming on to the last edition for the year with next week’s Christmas paper.

As you may have noticed, we have been publishing letters to Santa Claus from the school children of Freestone County starting with the first week of December.

As next week’s edition will be published on the December 25th holiday, we wanted to be sure Santa had them in hand before his night ride on Christmas eve.

If you missed one of those weeks, no worries. Look for all the letters posted online later at www.FreestoneCountyTimes.com

It has been a great year for local gift shopping, and for Christmas-themed activities.

There are still a few events planned this weekend. Be sure to check the article on this week’s front page for dates, times and details.

Christmas in our hometown is a special occasion, indeed.

Whether you sip some cocoa under the Christmas tree on the brick streets of downtown Wortham, view the nightly light show at 8th Avenue City Park in Teague, or take a selfie with some reindeer on the courthouse square in Fairfield, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

May the magic of the season find you wherever you go, no matter your actual age in years.
