Calvary Baptist Church of Fairfield will be presenting three different Christmas programs during the next two weeks as the Christmas holiday season quickly approaches.
The first program will feature the church’s sixteen member hand bell choir which will be performing this coming Sunday, December 4th, during the regular morning worship service at 10:45 am. Four arrangements will be presented by the youth and adult members, which include “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, “On A Still Silent Night”, “Infant Holy, Infant Lowly” and “Now the Green Blade Riseth.”
Calvary’s children’s choir will be performing the Christmas musical “Great Big Story” at 6:30 pm on Sunday evening, December 4th. The thirty-five member choir of kindergarten through sixth grade students will be performing numerous songs and others will be acting in several Christmas scenes.
On Sunday, December 18th, Calvary’s adult choir will be performing the Christmas cantata “A Family Christmas.” The program will feature the adult choir, an ensemble group and Calvary’s children’s choir. Several solos will including during the program. The final song of the cantata will be a candlelight service to end the evening of worship and song.
“We are so proud of those who participate in our choirs at Calvary and are honored to present these programs not only to our congregation but to the community as well,” stated church pastor Terry Skinner. “Each program will be a blessing to all who come as we worship and celebrate the birth of our Savior. Bring your families and friends,” he added.
All programs will be under the direction of Calvary’s music and education minister Shelby Race and assisted by youth minister Devin DiGuilio. Calvary is located at 220 E. Main in Fairfield.
