Chester (Chet) Foster, 81, of Fairfield peacefully fell asleep in death at his home on October 2, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Chet was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Narvelene Foster; parents Will Jr. and Cora L Foster; brother Johnny Leonard Watson; and nephew Johnny Ray Watson.

He is survived by his daughter Felita Lovato and husband Mickey of Roswell, NM; son Will Foster and wife Beatriz of Wallkill, NY; grandson Donovan Lovato of Roswell, NM; and sisters-in-law Francis Nemons of Teague, Rosa Hall of Buffalo, and Agnes Brown of Buffalo.

Chet died faithful as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He and his wife moved to Fairfield in 2002 to assist in the preaching activity of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Prior to that, he worked as a computer programmer and a restaurant owner in New Mexico. He retired in 2020 from Fairfield ISD as a bus driver after 13 years.

He was well loved by all that knew him. A dear friend in New Mexico stated: “I looked at him as another Dad to me. He was special in so many ways and was such a great example in Jehovah’s service.” He will truly be missed by all that knew him and loved him, especially his family both fleshly and Christian.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1518 North Buffalo Avenue, Buffalo, Texas.
