Charles Ray Easterwood was born on June 21, 1937 in Waco, Texas to Bert Allen Easterwood and Katherine Laura Powell Easterwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Bobby Easterwood.
He passed away on January 28, 2023.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marcia Pullin Easterwood: sons, Rodney Ray Easterwood and wife Lisa; John Kelly Easterwood and wife Kandis; stepson Kerry Don Jones and wife Bobbie; step daughter Sharon Duke Speering and husband Kenneth. Grandchildren: Jeremy, Kevin, Justin, Brett, Charlie, Byron, Toby, Kelly, Jessica, Anthony, Dale and Nathanial. Great grandchildren: Bailee, Brylan, Maddox, Mason, Brynlee, Bryson, Casslynn, Emerson and Lori. And, a brother, Ralph Easterwood.
He was a member of the Fairfield Calvary Baptist church for 52 years. Charles was an active member of the Fairfield Lions Club for 54 years.
He served for 4 years as a Director for the Lions Camp in Kerrville, Texas. Charles was very active as a 32-degree Mason, York Rite and Karem Temple. He served on Fairfield City Council 4 years, and was awarded Citizen of the Year.
Charles was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a passion for his grandkids. He often took them to the farm to fish and hunt. He loved building toys for them as well as toy boxes.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield. Officiant was Terry Skinner. Interment followed at Woodland Cemetery in Kirvin, Texas.
