Freestone County will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Courthouse this Friday, April 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Courthouse lawn.
Opening Ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m.
A Time Capsule will be buried, to be opened in 50 years; and a live Oak Tree will be planted as well.
Tours of the Courthouse will be offered at 11:30 and 12:30; and County Museum tours will be offered as well.
Several different vendors will be on site.
Sheriff Jeremy Shipley will be grilling hotdogs, and cakes and cookies will be up for grabs as well.
All past and present elected officials are asked to attend. They will be recognized and a group photo will be taken to add to the Time Capsule.
All County citizens are invited to attend.
