A beautiful spring day at the Moody-Bradley House in Fairfield provided the perfect backdrop for the 47th Annual Queen of the Trinity Star Pilgrimage, hosted by the Fairfield History Club on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
“Behind the Scenes and Under the Seams.” Donna Tyus served as narrator during ‘A Day in the Life,’ a skit poking fun at the uncomfortable fashions of the 1800s. Peyton Daniel (in black), (l-r) Emma Copeland, Anna Kay Williams, and Eden Daniel work up a swet as they attempt to get Peyton Dressed.
The afternoon was full of fun as visitors took a step back in time to experience what life was like during the Civil War era in Freestone County, Texas.
As always, the day included a melodrama, presented by Fairfield High School’s drama department, live music by String Theory, children’s pageant and activities, and big ticket auction.
Sam’s Restaurant of Fairfield catered a lunch of fried chicken, ham, and all the fixings, complete with homemade cakes for dessert.
Crowned Little Miss Trinity Star, Gabriela Duke, and Trinity Star Princess, Haylee Allen, were congratulated by last year’s winners Kloie Chambers and Kayden Dallas.
Claiming the prize for most tickets sold was Trinity Star Princess contestant, Tiffany Jauregui.
The Fairfield History Club would like to thank all those who contributed their time and efforts to making this year’s Pilgrimage a success!
