Cecil M. Jones (Bud), age 90, passed away in the presence of loved ones on Monday, July 25, 2016.
Bud was born May 3, 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Frank Jones and Zelda Albury.
At the young age of 17, he quit school and enlisted in The United States Navy. As a veteran of World War II, Bud earned several medals for service, including a Purple Heart for wounds received in action in the Rynkyu Islands, June 11, 1945.
He married Doris “Dot” Coty July 23, 1946. Together they had four children. Bud and Dot loved camping and spending time with their family and friends.
Bud’s laughter was contagious, as he delighted those around him with jokes and stories.
Left to honor and remember Bud are his children: Brent (Karen) Jones and Cyndy Robidoux; his grandchildren: Chris (Laura) Robidoux, Jay Robidoux, CJ Jones, Shannon Jones Thompson, Brandi (Jason) Pierce, and Austin (Amber) Jones; numerous great-grandchildren; and a loving companion, Tiel Moore.
Those whose lives Bud touched celebrated his life at a visitation on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball 77375.
Funeral services were on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Klein Memorial Park, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball 77375.
