The Community Care Club, the organization that raises funds to help the communities along the FM 416 corridor on the south side of Richland-Chambers Lake, is holding its Super-Sized Garage Sale soon. With no fundraisers held during 2020’s COVID pandemic, it’s more important than ever that CCC raise funds for vital projects across the community…things like helping the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department, helping with food giveaways, presenting scholarships for graduating seniors who live in the area and much more.

The quantity and quality of donated items are what will make this Super-Sized Garage Sale a success. “As you do your spring cleaning, please keep us in mind,” said Sale Committee Member Debbee Nyman. “All proceeds go to CCC and their various charitable projects in the FM 416 community.”

Drop-off Day for item for the Sale is Friday, April 16, from 8 am to 6 pm at the Fire Station at 120 Southern Oaks Drive, located just north of the Shell station on FM 416.

“Boxing like-items together is helpful (for example, tools in one box, kitchen items in another, etc.),” said Sale Committee Member Carole Stubblefield, “but, please don’t price items. We’ll do that when we check in your items on April 16th.”

The criteria for donations are simple: clean, unbroken, sellable items. “We welcome furniture and rugs, office equipment, tools, fishing gear, lawn and garden equipment, home décor items, kitchen items, electronics in working condition, toys, children’s clothes, games and sports equipment, linens and bedding (gently-used only) and working appliances,” said Chris Grimes, also a member of the Sale Committee. “We look forward to seeing you on April 16th and receiving all your sellable, spring cleaning leftover items for our Super-Sized Garage Sale!”
