Surprise!
The Carnival is in town this week.
Setting up at the fairgrounds in Fairfield, the Carnival will be open from Thursday, May 9th to Saturday, May 11th.
Kids, young and old, may buy tickets beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Wristbands will be available from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. nightly. Cost is $20 per wristband, per night.
Children must be 30 inches or taller to buy wristbands or tickets.
Although folks are used to the carnival coming only once a year, this was a surprise treat.
Carnival owners had an open date. They were in Palestine last week, and will be in Mexia next.
After inquiring with Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, and then checking with the City of Fairfield, they got the “go ahead” to set up in Fairfield.
