Owner and Operator, Karen Eitson, shares her mission to provide personalized, compassionate care for seniors and veterans.

In the quiet comfort of Fairfield sits a special place where residents are treated like family, Kare-Inn Assisted Living, a residential care home owned and operated by Karen Eitson.

At Kare-Inn, residents receive 24/7 personal care in a warm, home-like setting. Services include medication management, daily personal assistance, and accommodations for higher levels of care than most assisted livings. The home is also fully handicapped accessible, ensuring comfort and safety for all residents.

“I wanted to create a home where every resident feels truly cared for,” says Karen. “We make sure they have everything they need, and that includes love, laughter, and community.”

Karen brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to Kare-Inn. She began her career as a social worker in long-term care, after managing substance abuse treatment centers across Central Texas. It was there she discovered her passion for helping seniors.

“I fell in love with the elderly,” she recalls. “I saw the gaps in care and knew I wanted to be part of the solution. That’s what led me to become an Administrator and open my own home.”

In 2019, Karen opened Kare-Inn Assisted Living, and she’s made it personal. She lives right on the property, spending evenings and weekends with her residents, whether it’s attending local car shows, going swimming, or simply sharing conversation on the porch.

Kare-Inn has also become a proud Medical Foster Home for Veterans, partnering with the VA to ensure veterans receive the care, resources, and financial support they need.

“We’re private pay and accept long-term care insurance,” Karen explains. “But more importantly, we welcome anyone to call or visit to discuss special needs. We’re here to help.”

With experienced, dedicated staff and a mission rooted in compassion, Kare-Inn Assisted Living continues to provide exceptional care for seniors and veterans in the Fairfield community.
