Want to hear from the political candidates running in the March Primary Elections?
This may be your only chance to hear those running for office.
Come enjoy a free bowl of chili beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, at the Fairfield High School Cafeteria and hear from those running for office at 5:30 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Freestone County Retired Teachers.
All candidates running for U.S Senator and U.S. Representative for District 17, State office positions on the local ballots, or Freestone County offices invited. Only candidates for contested positions have been asked to speak.
These are U.S. Senator; U.S. Representative- District 17; Railroad Commissioner; Chief Justice, Supreme Court; Justice, Supreme Court, Place 6- Unexpired Term; Justice, Supreme Court, Place 7; Justice, Supreme Court, Place 8; Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place3; Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 4; Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 9; Member, State Board of Education, District 10; Freestone County Commissioner Precinct 3; County Constable Precinct 3; and County Constable Precinct 4.
Active public school employees who attend will be eligible for two $100 drawings.
Voter registration forms will be available for those who have not registered to vote in Freestone County.
To access the Fairfield High School Cafeteria turn onto Post Oak Road off of Hwy. 84 at the yellow blinking light. Drive past the high school and take a right on to Oak Street. Take a right just before the tennis courts. There are steps leading to double doors that take you to the courtyard. Take the sidewalk on the left and follow it to the cafeteria on the left.
