Bring your lawn chairs and join Fairfield Lake State Park for history and some good ole’ cooking around the campfire on Saturday, June 8th.
Campfire Time Travel will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. at the Volleyball Field in Cooks Ferry.
Learn about what camp life was like in Freestone County during the Civil War. Then, join Uncle Mike for his legendary Dutch Oven Demo and enjoy free samples of modern day recipes that can be cooked at your own campsite.
Event is Free. Normal park entry fees apply.
Be sure to bring a lawn chair, bug spray, flash light and water.
Fairfield Lake State Park is open daily. Entrance fees are $4 for adults per day. Children 12 and under admitted free of charge.
