One local church’s congregation is planning an event November 14th which will provide an opportunity for Freestone County citizens to possibly find much needed items to improve their lives.
‘Calvary’s Community Closet’ will provide an opportunity for those struggling in our area to find slightly used clothing in both adult, children and baby sizes. Also available will be baby items such as toys, strollers and car seats. Some small appliances will also be on display.
Calvary members and even others who do not live in Freestone County have donated all of these items in a spirit of love during a time when many are still being impacted by the Coronavirus in numerous ways.
Cari Warner, chairman and organizer of the event stated “All of us have items which we may not use or need anymore. We know there are needs in our community and this is Calvary’s way to hopefully make life a little better for those families.”
All items will be displayed in Calvary’s Life Center on Saturday, November 14th, from 9 am until 12 noon. All items will be available at no charge. For more information, please contact the church at 903.389.2613. Calvary is located at 220 E. Main in Fairfield.
