This organization assists Cancer survivors with travel expenses during treatment.

Calpine also presented contributions to Freestone County First Responders.
Receiving $750 on behalf of the Freestone County Sheriff’s Department is Chief Deputy Devin Mowrey and County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley, presented by Brett Mullins – Freestone Energy Center Ops Manager.
Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department also received a $750 donation. Accepting the check is Matt Foree – FVFD Lieutenant, presented by Brett Mullins.
Calpine also donated $750 to Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department (at left), accepted by SOVFD Fire Chief Van Wagnon and SOVFD Secretary Patsy Wagnon. Presenting their donation was Plant Manager Robert DeWitt of Freestone Energy Center.
