“It’s back to being fun, again,” says local radio personality, Buzz Russell.
Recently named the TCMA Broadcast Personality of the Year, Russell assures listeners that he has no plans for retiring, any time soon.
Russell confesses to being shocked when named as a finalist, but loyal fans were not surprised to hear that he had won, as they participated in the final round voting between April and August of 2021.
“Thanks, everybody for your support,” he says.

The Texas Country Music Association hosted the 2021 Texas Country Music Awards at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.
Top fan and industry-voted Awards were presented in twenty-six categories related to Texas Country Music and Christian Country Music.
Many of the top Award categories included not only the designation and trophy but unique gifts provided by events sponsors.
Russell is especially proud of the custom belt buckle (from 2nd to None Buckles) that just may rival those earned by his 4-H Club kids and grandkids.
This award is special to Russell, as he is a huge support of Texas Country Music.
Be sure to catch is show, Totally Texas, on Saturdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. “There is so much good stuff to chose from,” says Russell.
