Want to earn an extra $8K, $10K, or even $14K a year to supplement your salary? FISD is looking for some new bus drivers going into the 2022/23 school year and for only a few hours a day you can earn 1,000’s of dollars.
–Bus driving stipend is added to your current salary and counts towards TRS
–Drive a route in the mornings and still be on your campus by 7:30
–Work an extra 45 minutes a day in the evenings and earn thousands of dollars.
How do I get a bus drivers license (CDL) ???
–Complete a 20-hour training course (spread out over 3 days). Courses are offered year-round*
–Pass a few easy tests*
–Spend some time practicing driving a bus to become proficient.*
–Go to a DPS location and pass the driving exam (2 part test)*
*FISD will help you enroll in the 20 hr course, help you prepare for the tests, teach you how to drive a bus and facilitate getting set up for your driving exam*
