Burl Harrison Tarrant, 67, passed away on April 23, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas.

He was born on June 23, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Who was he…Burl was a devoted son, a faithful brother, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a loyal friend.

Was he a saint?

No, but in all things good in heart and in this world, he was.

His love for his children and grandchildren filled his life.

He was the kindest person; his ability to forgive was only exceeded by his compassion for others.

When things went wrong he had an expression: “Oh well, that’s life. Let’s not agonize over things we can’t change.”

Burl was preceded in death by his parents, Dee Tarrant and Eula Voe Pierce, and his sister, Janice.

Burl is survived by his wife, Valerie; his son, Jamie, and wife, Allyssa, of Salisbury, Maryland; daughters: Amber of Buffalo, Texas; Ashley and fiancé, Randy, of Milford, Texas; and Alysha of Jewett, Texas; seven grandchildren: Rhiannan, Ravyn, Bryanna, Ablene Maria, Tyler Lynn, and Tarrant Logan; brothers: Eddie Tarrant and wife, Claudine, of Fairfield, Texas; and Donnie Tarrant of Mesa, Arizona; his sister, Nancy and husband, Johnny Coffey, of Cleburne, Texas; and many nieces, nephew, and countless friends.

There will be a memorial in his honor on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairfield Civic Center (the Green Barn) in Fairfield, Texas.
