Two men who broke into the Fairfield Ace Home Center store seemed to not realize they were being recorded.

The alleged men decided that sneaking around the corner of the store Monday, December 23rd, 2019 around 11:33 p.m., and breaking the glass on the door would keep them from being seen.

They were wrong.

The hardware store has a surveillance system that not only recorded how the men were able to get into the store, but captured their faces as well.

They were able to steal approximately $800 worth of Stihl equipment, including two weed eaters, and damage the $500 dollar tempered glass door.

A motion detector set off the alarm, which has two sirens in the store, and they are very loud. Once they sounded the two men fled quickly.

In total they were in and out in two minutes.

Ralph Hughes, owner of Ace Home Center, took to social media to ask, β€œTo all my Facebook friends please share this post.”

There is a reward of $250 offered by Mr. Hughes.

Fairfield Police Department is investigating the case, and if you have any information in regards to this case they can be reached at 903-389-3901.
