A woman’s body was found in a ditch near Richland a week ago and now police are looking for her estranged husband.
Johnny Leon Wilson, 48, is wanted for the murder of Charine Marie Wilson (Charine Young). There is a warrant out for his arrest.
Deputies with the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office found Charine’s body lying near a road on SE 1190A on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. An autopsy showed that she died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Homicide investigators from the Houston Police Department said Charine was last seen on November 10th at an apartment complex in Houston. Her family members reported her missing on November 12th.
According to the victim’s son, he was with her when she drove to Wilson’s apartment on November 10th. Charine walked into his apartment and had not been seen since.
Police said after a brief time, Wilson came out of the apartment alone, got into Charine’s car and drove her son to a fast food restaurant, where he dropped him off and left.
Wilson was charged with her death on November 14th.
