Graveside services for Bobby Dean Kennedy, 74, will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Dew Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
Mr. Kennedy passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at the Groesbeck L.T.C.
He was born in Teague on April 30, 1945, to Thomas & Rose (Solley) Kennedy, and was a lifelong resident a Freestone County until recently moving to Groesbeck. He married Joy Armstrong on August 31, 1973, and shared over forty-six years together. Mr. Kennedy was in business for himself for many years before going to work for the Mexia State School for twenty years before his retirement. He loved to work outside and mowed numerous yards and properties through the years.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Kennedy of Groesbeck; three daughters, Kerrie Cobb & husband Steven, Kristy Earnest & husband Rusty, and Rhonda Fraga & husband Dan; one son, Matthew Kennedy & wife Caitlin; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Connie Armstrong; six nephews; and three nieces.
Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Kennedy; one grandson, Clayton James Hilzendager; and his beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill & Barbara Armstrong.
