Blacklidge, a leader in advanced eco-friendly asphalt materials and the original Trackless Tack® manufacturer, announced its plans to increase its presence in Texas today at the groundbreaking for its new 10-acre plant in Fairfield, Texas. The facility is expected to be fully operational by mid-2021 and is Blacklidge’s second expansion into the Texas market.

The new facility, which will be part of the Fairfield Industrial Park, will have the capacity to produce millions of gallons of their industry-leading flagship products—UltraTack® and UltraFuse® plus other advanced asphalt materials.

“On behalf of Fairfield economic development, it’s been an honor and a privilege working with you all. We are very humbled and appreciative of the opportunity we have to help Blacklidge expand and grow here in Texas,” said David Fowler, President of Fairfield Economic Development Committee. “We are looking forward to a great partnership and relationship. It’s not a one and done for us, when you come here, we are partners for life. We appreciate your investment and the opportunity for Fairfield to serve you.”

The Mayor, Kenneth Hughes, also thanked Blacklidge in his statement saying, “I just want to thank y’all for choosing our city. Like David said, and he basically said it all, we are truly blessed to have you here and we are looking forward to a long partnership with you.”
