A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Those of you who know her realized how special a person she was – known as Billie Margaret, Skippy, Aunt Skippy, and mostly Mawmaw to me – she could outrun all of us with her work ethic and strength.

She loved her yard, plants (Macho ferns, Boston ferns, airplane plants, Sago palms, Esperanza, daylilies and Cannas…to name a few). She loved to shop and go places. She was still in her yard about a month ago, intent on nothing getting her down.

She also loved to feed us and entertain. Many of you had her Stew, spaghetti, chicken and dumplings, Lemon Pound Cake, Mincemeat cookies and nut clusters for Christmas.

We are blessed that her illness did not linger and she had very little pain.

Thank you for all that have been a part of her life. We know that she is in Heaven, possibly tending the garden, and faithful that we will see her again!
