Community and business leaders extended a BIG Texas welcome to members of the ‘Best of Texas’ bus tour on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
With the goal of fostering connections with international partners, Fairfield Economic Development Corporation (EDC) served as host to 20 business men and women from Japan and Taiwan.
Members of the 5-day, East Texas tour included business owners, brokers and site selectors.
The group enjoyed performances by Fairfield High School’s Mighty Band from Eagle Land (at top), an early showing at Trinity Star Art Gallery (left) of next week’s ‘Ghost Riders’ art exhibition, a delicious lunch at Dessert by MommaCakes, and a tour of Fairfield’s Industrial Park by Fairfield EDC President – David Fowler.
“Everyone has been so friendly,” said one gentleman from Taiwan. After sharing his background as an Art School graduate, this excited visitor complimented the sweeping colors of Andy Don Emmons’ signature piece, calling it “strong and free.”
