Barbara Gayle Cochran McPherson, 62, of Fairfield passed peacefully with family by her side at 8:51 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016.
Barbara was born May 5, 1954 in Marshall, Texas to Alfred and Merle Cochran (Mama Merle of Fairfield). Raised and schooled in Marshall she relocated to Fairfield and worked at Bobby Jo’s Donut Palace for approximately fifteen years. Her interests included reading, crosswords, plants and flowers. She devoted her time to needs of others, family and church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings.
Survivors include four brothers, Glen, Ken, Dennis and Norman Cochran; three sisters, Rachel, Kelly and Debra Cochran; her children, James Cochran, LaNae Henley and Jessica Hernandez all of Fairfield; five grandsons and two granddaughters and a special mention of Scott McPherson. She was a cornerstone and nurturing Aunt to many more.
At Barbara’s request she was cremated. A registration book will be available during normal business hours at Capps Memorial Chapel and a private memorial service will be held at the home at a later date.
