The purchase of ballistic shields was approved by Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees for the school district’s police force during a public meeting held Tuesday, October 11, 2022. The shields are being provided by a grant through the Governor’s Office.
According to Superintendent Dr. Jason Adams, district enrollment is currently 1,663 students.
Fairfield ISD will be providing lunch to FISD Veterans on Friday, November 11th.
Also noted, FISD has the potential for multiple solar farms within its boundaries. The application and agreement process must be completed by December 31st.
Following a closed Executive Session, the board approved safety measures.
