The Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network’s Youth Prevention Universal (YPU) program staff is thrilled to share some exciting updates from the Prevention Team!
As the new school year approaches, they’re kicking off a series of Back-to-School Prevention Events across all counties to support our youth, families, and communities.
Join them in Teague on Monday, July 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Event location will be 701 S. 6th Avenue.
Expect fun and connection – there will be games, cotton candy, popcorn, and giveaways!

Wortham
Wortham ISD invites all students at parents to their annual Back to School Bash on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Gym!
Prior to this event, beginning at 5:30 in the Ag Shop, meet the Ag Crew.
There will be BBQ sandwiches, chips, tea, and water. Students and parents can learn about their NEW Junior FFA Program.
Pre-K, Kinder, and 1st Grade Orientation will be held at 6:00 p.m.
Meet the Teacher for all grades also begins at 6:00 p.m.

Fairfield
The 5th Annual Backback and School Supply Give Away will by Saturday, August 9, 2025, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Fairfield City Park.
This event will provide free backpacks and school supplies for area students on a First-Come, First-Served basis until supplies run out.
There will be music and FREE hotdogs, chips, and drinks.
