It’s back!
The 2021 Freestone County Fair & Rodeo is returning for a full, long week of activities for every member of the family!
Get ready to get “Back in the Saddle Again” in Fairfield, Texas on June 14th-19th.
Kick-off event will be the annual Parade, starting at the County Courthouse downtown and ending at the fairgrounds, Monday evening, June 14th.
Always an entertaining highlight of this event, over 100 entries are anticipated in this year’s parade, including floats, bicycles, motorcycles, horses, marching bands, fire trucks and the Miss Freestone County, Miss Teen Freestone County, and Little Miss Freestone, Mini Miss Freestone, and Tiny Miss Freestone pageant contestants.
Everyone is invited to join the parade with your group, organization or club for the chance to win some prize money.
Awards will be given for Most Creative, Most Entertaining, and Most Beautiful parade entry.
Also up for grabs is the “Spirit of Freestone” award and trophy. Earn your bragging rights for the rest of the year!
Special prizes are also awarded to the Best Dressed Cowgirl and Cowboy.
Parade entry forms are available at KNES Texas 99.1 radio station. Entries must be received by June 9th.
Lineup for judging at 6:00 p.m. Parade starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.

After the parade, the famous Stick Bull and Stick Barrel Racing Contest will take place in the “Ike Carden” Arena at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The Ag Mechanics Show will be on Monday, June 14 at 11:30 a.m. with many projects from local Freestone County High School Students.
As well, The Home & Garden show will begin checking in projects from 7:00 a.m. until noon on Monday.
Reed Exposition Midways will once again bring their outstanding carnival to the Fair.
The carnival will be open from 6:00 p.m. until close from Monday through Friday and will open at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arm bands will be $25 this year.
The crowning of a new Miss Freestone County and Miss Teen Freestone County is set for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15th.
Little Miss Freestone, Mini Miss Freestone, and Tiny Miss Freestone will be crowned on Saturday, June 12.
Livestock shows will begin Tuesday and run through Friday, June 18th. Then, dig deep in your pockets for the Livestock Market Sale held Saturday morning, June 19th.
The Youth Rodeo in Memory of Yates Manahan will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16th.
Two performances of the CPRA, UPRA Rodeos are set for Friday evening, June 18th and Saturday evening, June 19th; both nights beginning at 8:00 p.m.
Mutton Busting will also take place on Friday & Saturday Nights with 20 kids selected each night.
The popular Pet Show will be Saturday, June 19th beginning at 3:00 p.m.
