“Lucy Swarthout and I want to add how it was such a great experience to be able to show my work and how much of an achievement it was for my work to be shown,” says author Taylor Swarthout. “I am thankful for all those that showed up to support me.”
A Book Signing was held Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Fairfield where Swarthout meet readers and spoke to them about her new book, “Held Captive,” the first book in a series of three.
Misguided as a child, Scarlett was taught wrongful love. Falling in love with a man named Ethan, only to find herself placed in a secluded cabin. Deep in the heart of the woods, it had been a beautiful place. Surrounded by tall trees and the soothing sounds of nature, but to her it had felt like a prison. Scarlett had found herself trapped in a nightmare that she could not wake up from. No one would be able to hear her screams.
Was this love?
“Writing has always been a passion of mine,” says Taylor.
“This book first started off as a short story,” she explains. “The more I wrote, the more stories I had in mind.”
Taylor now has 10 published books, including children’s books.
“Held Captive” will soon be followed by “Scarlett’s Diary” and “Ethan” to complete the series.
