Tired of spotty cell phone service? Relief may be on the way.
AT&T Mobility is proposing to install a 260-foot, self-supported lattice tower on Moody Street in Fairfield, to be located behind Fairfield Nursing and Rehab, near Highway 75.
An application for this project has been filed with the FCC and may be viewed by visiting www.fcc.gov/asr/applications and entering file number A1118473.
According to AT&T Representative, Anisa Latif out of the D.C. Office, AT&T is awaiting approval from the FCC before construction can begin.
“We make sure to do our due diligence and research before applying,” says Ms. Latif. “It is always our goal to make sure any project is not only beneficial to the company, but to our customers. We try our best to ensure better service in all areas.”
Ms. Latif explained that sometimes it may take a couple of years for this type of project to be completed, but the company has completed all of their pre-work and submitted the applications. Now they wait for a response from the FCC, but customers just want to try it now as this new project seems promising.
