Dedrick Lewayne Isadore has been arrested and is being held at the Freestone County Jail for the January 13, 2025, incident involving a possible IED and threats to Harm Law Enforcement.
On Monday, January 13, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., Teague Police Department became aware of threats against officers. Specifically, threats were relayed that an individual was “going to blow up the police when they come back…”
Officers drove by the residence of the suspected person and observed what was believed to be an improvised explosive device (IED), which showed up immediately after the threat was made.
McLennan County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit was contacted and responded for assistance with the suspected IED. BATF, Texas Department of Public Safety, Freestone County Attorney’s Office, Freestone County Sheriff’s Office, Freestone County Constable Precinct 2 Constable, Teague Emergency Medical Services, Teague VFD, assisted Teague Police with planning, evacuation of area residents, and securing of the area for the special operations unit to perform procedures to eliminate any threat to public safety.
A search warrant was executed for the property and the Special Operations Unit safely dismantled the device.
There were no injuries in this case.
