At approximately 4:38 PM on Friday, October 17, 2025, officers with the Teague Police Department responded to a criminal trespass complaint at Freestone Apartments, located at 835 US HWY 84 W in Teague, Texas, near the intersection with McGee Street.

The suspect, identified as John Williams, was observed in the center median of US HWY 84 W adjacent to the apartment complex. Upon seeing Officers approach the area, Mr. Williams was observed fleeing on foot. Williams fled behind apartments and residences near McGee Street Apartments, located on McGee Street.

Teague officers initiated a foot pursuit and were assisted by the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and a member of the Teague Volunteer Fire Department. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
