Twenty-nine youngsters competed in the annual Stick Horse Race and Stick Bull Riding competition held Monday night following the parade.
The event opened with the children treating the crowed to a beautiful grand entrance, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a prayer… “God is Great, God Is Good. Let us thank Him for our food! – Amen!”
Girls only rode their ponies around three barrels and back to the finish line.
In the 4-Years & Under division, Ella Coufal won the coveted belt buckle. Her competitors included Harper Scott, Bralee Lott, Kaselynn Brooke, Brooke Fisk, Avery Roberts, Haylin DeFrance, Peyton Scruggs, and Briar Lee Barnes.
Five to Seven Year Olds winner was Gabby Duke. Also competing were Brynnlee Scott, Lexi Goodson, and Kenna Coufal.
Boys only tried to stay on their bucking bull for at least 8 seconds.
Taking home the buckle in the 4-Years & Under division was Corbin DeFrance. Other participants were Luke Goodson, Luke Scott, Maze Catney, Haydon Walker, Conner Fisk, and Kyler Ridge.
In the Five to Seven Year Olds division, Heston Brooke snagged the buckle from his competitors, which included Jaxon Rodriguez, Jaxson French, Kane Henley, Hunter Issacs, Cayden Lott, Ross Scruggs, and Marcelo Gonzales.
