IN A PRIVATE AWARDS ASSEMBLY, Wortham Junior High students, Madison Newhouse (above) and James Rissmiller (below), were presented the American Legion Award.
School faculty and the Legion Post teamed up together to recognize a boy and girl student that demonstrates six qualities that define character: courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service.
Special thanks to Daniel Burkeen & the American Legion for recognizing Madison and James.
They are very honored to be the recipients of the 2020 award.
