Celebrating their achievements for the year at the Annual Parent-Member Banquet was Fairfield FFA on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2024.
During the banquet, the following Star Awards (at top) were recognized:
–Beef Proficiency – Marissa Eppes and Makenna Eppes
–Sheep Proficiency – Miley Blair
–Swine Proficiency – Obie Crook
–Ag. Mechanics Proficiency – Collin Glass
–Chapter Leadership Award – Blake Phillips
–Chapter Scholar Award – River Bonds
–Jr. Prepared Public Speaking – Madyn Mitchael
–Sr. Prepared Ag Policy Public Speaking – Avery Strait
–Sr. Prepared Animal Science Public Speaking – Blake Phillips
–Star Greenhand Award – Davie Pickens
–Star Chapter Farmer Award – Avery Strait
The 2023-2024 FFA Officers were honored and thanked for their service. They are President – Blake Phillips, Vice President – Cole Coufal, Secretary – Obie Crook, Treasurer – Conner Petty, Reporter – Makenna Eppes, Sentinel – Jake White, Advisor – Avery Strait, Parliamentarian – Alaina Baker, and Historian – Marissa Eppes.
Officers for 2024-2025 were announced: President – Blake Phillips, Vice President – Avery Strait, Secretary – Lauren Scott, Treasurer – Cole Coufal, Reporter – Conner Petty, Sentinel – Trinity Glass, Student Advisor – Obie Crook, and Parliamentarian – Alaina Baker.
Two adult leaders, Cece Sweeney and Jessee Abston, were presented with certificates of Honorary Membership during the ceremony to recognize them for their continued support of the FFA.
It was said that “These two individuals are the biggest supporters of all things at FHS. They are always willing to help out when the FFA needs it, whether for meetings, banquets, or just making sure the ag building is ready for the students each day. You will also find them cheering on all of our students at every event possible.”
It looks as though this was a very successful year for Fairfield FFA. Here’s to what next year brings!
