Over the past two months the Wortham Police Department has been busy keeping our streets safe for our citizens.
In April and May 47 arrests were made. From the 47 arrests there were 9 for driving while intoxicated, 17 for narcotics violations, 5 assaultive offenses, and 6 for weapon violations.
Our goal at the Wortham Police department is to keep our citizens safe by keeping illegal drugs off our streets and out of the hands of our children, keep our roads safe for those traveling through our communities, and our citizens and their property safe from criminals by proactive patrol.
