Caney Baptist Church hosted Glory Bound, a fantastic singing group that features old-time southern gospel music on Sunday, March 26, 2017.
The band led off the Sunday morning service with the old familiar favorites like “Power in the Blood” and Hank Williams’ “I Saw the Light.” A crowd favorite was “The Old Country Church,” an uplifting, toe-tapping standard that touches on hymns, “Shall We Gather At the River”, “In the Sweet Bye and Bye”, and “Leaning on The Everlasting Arms.”
Glory Bound is made up by Joe Honey, lead guitar of Frost; Mary Slater, vocals and Ronny Slater – sound of Navarro Mills; Ray Lowry, bass of Ennis; Dianne Summers, vocals of Pursley; Rebecca Woodall, vocals of Hubbard; and Randy Woodall, rhythm guitar of Streetman.
