PUBLIC NOTICE
The Freestone County Commissioners Court will be considering a proposal to increase the following salaries and longevity pay above their 2026-2027 levels by:
Salary increases of $3,500.00 for County Judge, County Treasurer, Tax Assessor/Collector, County Clerk, District Clerk, Justices of the Peace Pct. No. 1, 2, 3, & 4, Constables Pct. No. 1, 2, 3,
& 4, Sheriff, and Commissioners Pct. No. 1, 2, 3, & 4 to be effective October 1, 2026, if approved.
Justice of the Peace Pct. No. 2 will be able to receive longevity pay starting at $225.00 to be effective October 1, 2026, if approved.
Longevity pay by $60.00 for County Judge, Commissioners Pct. No. 1, 2, & 3, Constables Pct. No. 3 & 4, Tax Assessor/Collector, and J.P. Pct. No. 3 to be effective October 1, 2026, if approved.
Final consideration will be given at the Freestone County Budget Hearing on August 19, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Freestone County Commissioners Courtroom.
