A possible drive-by shooting occurred around midnight on July 2-3, 2026, on South Bateman Street, according to Fairfield Police Department.
Though the incident reportedly occurred at midnight, no call was made to 911 until nearly 3:45 a.m. on the morning of July 3.
The call was dispatched to Fairfield PD at that time and officers on duty spoke with the reporting party; however, the caller would not provide their name or many details into what occurred, only that shots had been fired around the home located on South Bateman.
This incident is currently under investigation.
