Meet The Chop Shop Family
We’re Jake and Jayci Turner, the owners behind The Chop Shop. This little shop has been something we’ve worked really hard for, and getting to open our doors here in Fairfield has meant so much to us. I was born and raised here in Fairfield, and I’m so blessed to be back. We opened on January 20th this year, and we truly feel so grateful to be here serving this community.
I have been grooming since 2021, and animals have always been such a big part of my life. Grooming isn’t just about making dogs look good, it’s about making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m currently finishing my Business Management degree at Abilene Christian University, which has helped me build this shop with intention and long-term vision.
Jake has been right beside me every step of the way. He was born in New Jersey, but grew up in Ennis, and attended Texas A&M in College Station. Since then, he has been grooming pups since 2021. He keeps everything moving behind the scenes and is just as invested in making sure every pup leaves looking and feeling their best. He truly pours so much heart into this business, and together we’ve built The Chop Shop to be a place where dogs are treated like family.
And of course, our daughter Aria is the tiniest (but loudest) member of the team. She loves coming up here, seeing all the pups, and giving them extra love. We call her our “professional puppy petter.”
We genuinely love animals. We love their personalities, their quirks, and the trust they give us. Our goal is simple: To provide reliable, high-quality grooming in a calm, clean environment while building lasting relationships with the families who walk through our doors.
We are so thankful for the support, encouragement, and kindness this community has already shown us. It truly means more than you know.
