Patriotic, family-friendly fundraiser aims to raise $150,250 to support volunteer fire departments serving the Richland Chambers Lake area.
On Saturday, July 18, Benefit RC will welcome residents, boaters, families, and supporters to the 11th Annual Richland Chambers Fundraiser & Poker Run, a high-energy community event benefiting the volunteer fire departments that serve neighborhoods around Richland Chambers Lake.
Organizers have set a 2026 fundraising goal of $150,250 in honor of America’s 250th birthday, making this year’s event both a celebration and a meaningful investment in local emergency response.
Known as one of the biggest days of the year on the lake, the Fundraiser & Poker Run offers fun for both boaters and non-boaters. The event will also feature a barbecue lunch by Kevin Bludso, live music by The FOG, live and silent auctions, patriotic festivities, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Commemorative T-Shirts and Dry Fit Shirts will be available while supplies last.
Registered boaters can travel to chip pickup locations around the lake to collect chips and exchange for cards at The Harbor Restaurant, while those who prefer to stay on land can join the excitement by purchasing a Black Chip for a chance to win.
New this year, organizers have added a seventh pick up location, and a map of all lake stops will be provided at registration.
Since its founding, Benefit RC has raised more than $688,000 to help local volunteer fire departments secure critical protective gear, equipment, and training.
Community sponsorships, auction donations, volunteers, and event participation make that impact possible. Organizers invite businesses and residents to support this year’s effort by sponsoring the event, donating auction items, volunteering, or attending the fundraiser. The event will take place at The Harbor Restaurant Pavilion, with a pre-registration party on Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Registration will continue Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., and the Poker Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by recognition of participating volunteer fire departments, a live auction, and the announcement of Poker Run winners.
Guests are encouraged to wear patriotic colors and decorate their boats in red, white, and blue in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
