Fairfield High School’s Fishing Team is headed to the state tournament on Lake Texoma on May 30-31, 2026, along with the Angler of the Year (AOY) tournament set for June.
Team members, Landon Morrison and Michael Zachry had a strong showing at the Regional Tournament on Lake Palestine last week, finishing with at 14.64-pound bag and earned Second Place AOY in the Central Division.
Boat Captain for the team is Scooter Long, owner of The Butcher’s Choice, who continues to support students at FISD by volunteering his time and feeding students and staff throughout the year.
