Early voting started this week at two locations: the Green Barn Civic Center in Fairfield and the Civic Center in Teague.
Dates and times are as follows:
–April 20: 8am-5pm at both the Fairfield Green Barn and Teague Civic Center
–April 21: CLOSED for San Jacinto Day
–April 22-24: 8am-5pm at both the Fairfield Green Barn & Teague Civic Center
–April 27-28: 7am-7pm at Fairfield Green Barn & 8am-5pm at Teague Civic Center
Election Day voting will be 7am-7pm at the following locations:
–Fairfield Green Barn Civic Center,
–Teague Civic Center,
–Wortham City Hall,
–Butler Community Center,
–St. Elmo Club, and
–Streetman City Hall.
**Note for City of Streetman voters**
According to Renee’ McBay, Freestone County Elections Administrator, the City of Streetman ballots were incorrect, and they were unable to get them corrected in time to fix the program for the voting machines. Therefore, the elections will be accomplished utilizing paper ballots, so a postponement won’t be required.
