Last week was a busy, but awesome one for Teague FFA.
On Tuesday, April 14, they competed at the Region 5 Area Wildlife Contest, Wednesday, April 15, was the Area CDE Contest, and on Thursday, April 16, was the Area Forages Contest.
More than 50 students participated and worked had on these teams. The competition was though, but they fought hard and three teams are advancing to State Competition!
–Nursery/Landscape: Marley Alderman, Daisy Rivera, Gracie Wilson, & Sonya McKenzie
–Poultry: Cole Mims, Megan Shaw, Tripp Egbert, & Colton Brummett
–Land: Landon Evans, Kameryn Thompson, Lucky Jones, & Kaedyn Ovalle
On Friday, April 17, 2026, they participated in the Sandyland District Convention and Speaking Development Event Contest.
They were 1st in CDE Sweepstakes.
Other awards are as follows:
–Talent Contest: Riley Wallace – 4th place
–SDE Contest: Ag Tech & Comm – Emma Kersten – 2nd place and Advancing to Area
–Jr. Prepared: Gracie Wilson – 3rd place
–Extemporaneous: Colton Brummett – 7th place
–Plant Science: Grace Smith – 1st place and Advancing to Area
Next year’s Sandyland District First Vice President: Kaden Brockman
